"The important thing is not being afraid to take a chance. Remember, the greatest failure is to not try. Once you find something you love to do, be the best at doing it." ~ Debbi Fields, founder of Mrs. Fields Cookies

What We Do

Entrepreneurs are not your average, run-of-the-mill business owners and leaders, they are creative, intuitive, risk-takers ready to challenge conventional wisdom, recognizing there is far more than profits to be gained. Independent Youth has developed programs uniquely designed to offer students the chance to learn, explore and grow in ways traditional business classes or programs don’t allow.

From short IY In School presentations to TrepStart Day and the TrepStart Digital Tour in cities around the US, Independent Youth offers programs to spark and grow students’ minds and passions. Independent Youth is built on Peer-to-Peer mentoring from successful teen entrepreneurs with high school students.  The TrepStart Day and our business launch competition, The 30 Day Entrepreneurship Challenge, focus on the mentorship and exchange of ideas with our Teen Entrepreneur Network and participating students to create or hone their own business idea.

We know great entrepreneurial leaders and innovators are supported by great teachers. Our Educator Pass program offers resources and year-round support for educators looking for ways to incorporate entrepreneurship into their curriculum.
